A Portrait In Time - Rhapsody For Brass Band (brass band)
Rhapsody For Brass Band & Percussion "A PORTRAIT IN TIME” was commissioned by conductor Henrik Juul-Brinkmann & Aalborg Postorkester, Denmark, for the Danish National Brass Band Championships (1st section), held in the Musikhuset, Aarhus, November 2022.
"The music is inspired by the present world and the struggles every each of us experiences during our precious time on mother earth. The music is divided into 3 main sections. The second “EVENSONG” is the main portrait. Loosing, keeping, being, learning and loving.”
How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height.
My soul can reach,
when feeling out of sight.
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
"How Do I Love Thee? (Sonnet 43) by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
DURATION, c. 13:00 - GRADE 4
